Nailon is a most prominent topical solution used to treat and eradicate the fungal skin infections of the toenails and fingernails. Nailon Nail Lacquer contains a generic medicine called Ciclopirox, belongs to a class of medications called antifungal. It acts by preventing the growth of fungus present in the nails.
Who should not use this medicine?
The use Nailon Nail Lacquer is prohibited under certain medical conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy, weak immune system, and large areas of burned or damaged skin. It is also not used when a person is hypersensitive to Ciclopirox.
How can Nailon 5 ml be used?
Nailon 5 ml is made up of Ciclopirox Topical Solution 8% and applied externally on the skin. First of all, wash your affected part of nails or skin. Before starting the treatment, remove any loose nail material using nail clippers. Apply this medicine with the help of applicator evenly over the entire affected nail and to the area of the skin next to the nail. It should be applied once daily at bedtime. Don't wash you're the treated area for at least 8 hours. Every 7 days, remove the Ciclopirox Topical Solution from the nail by using alcohol. To get a better result a person has to use it for at least 48 weeks.
Side effects of Nailon 5 ml:
Use of Nailon 5 ml can produce some side effects such as redness or burning sensation in the skin, peeling of the skin, itching, hives, severe dizziness, and trouble breathing.
- You are not supposed to apply a bandage or cover the affected area after applying this solution.
- It is meant for external use only, so care should be taken while applying for this medicine.
- You should not discontinue this medicine in between the course of treatment.
