Nerve cell generates the pain signals that pass to the brain via spinal cord.  Thus Aleve acts to inhibits the production of the prostaglandins and reduce pain and fever.

 

Doses:

The recommended dose of Aleve 250 mg for children above the age of 12 years and adult is one tablet within 8 to 12 hours. In a day only two pills can be taken maximum.

 

What side effects can be observed with the use of Aleve?

Side effects are the undesirable symptoms that arise due to the medical treatment. It is also known as adverse effects. You can have- rashes, unusual ringing sound in ears, annoyance, giddiness, loose motion, indigestion, might be abdominal pain and shortness of breath. Aleve can cause gastric bleeding and ulcers.

Do not drink alcohol along with Aleve as it can increase the chance of gastric bleeding. This drug might cause increase in the sensitivity of the skin towards sunlight so you must use sunscreen and cover your full body.  If patient, have liver disorder then discontinue the medication of Aleve.
